What happens during the Consultation? The Consultation meeting takes place in your home and is lead by a Club Z! Educational Consultant. The student and parent are involved in this initial meeting, which lasts about an hour. During the meeting we will discuss the student’s current academic situation, review the student’s classroom materials, ask detailed questions related to academics, set specific goals for the tutoring program, attach a timeline for reaching the goal, and create a customized learning plan for the tutoring program.

FREE ASSESSMENT TESTING is offered during the In-home Consultation, though not required. The assessment tool used is the KTEA-II, a nationally recognized norm referenced test of basic skills which shows grade level equivalency in reading, math and writing. Testing results are scored and shared during the In-home Consultation.

Based upon the information gathered during the meeting a recommendation for weekly tutoring hours is made by the Educational Consultant. Ultimately, parents and students determine the number of weekly tutoring sessions as well as the most convenient days and times for tutoring. Tutors are available year-round, seven days a week.
